Captain Bruce Private Kaneohe Sandbar Boat Charters

Gather up the family or a small group of your closest friends and experience one of O’ahu’s true hidden gems: the Kaneʻohe Bay Sandbar. Located in the middle of Hawai’i’s only barrier reef-protected bay, the Kaneʻohe Bay Sandbar is an ideal spot to discover Hawai’i’s diverse waters.

Perfect for a family-friendly day out on the water, our Captain Bruce private speed boat charters out to the Kaneʻohe Bay Sandbar comfortably fit groups of six or less. If you have more than six in your group, the catamaran charter can accommodates up to 30 people. Perfect for a private group tour!

Three types of boats to choose from

There are two types of boats that can accommodate up to six passengers: pontoon boats and speed boats. Charter a luxury pontoon boat with lounge-style sofas and enjoy a private picnic on board from an open cabin with 360-degree views of beautiful Kaneohe Bay in the background. Both boats can accommodate up to 6 people (including infants).

If you rent a catamaran boat, it can accommodate up to 30 people (including infants). Up to two boats can be chartered for family or school events, wedding after-parties, etc.

Boat charter time is 3 hours. Complementary transportation service available from selected hotels in Waikiki.

The Wonders of the Kaneʻohe Bay Sandbar

Considered to be the world’s largest saltwater sandbar, the Kaneʻohe Bay Sandbar is a three-acre, mile-long white sand island only accessible at low tide. Sitting in the middle of Kaneʻohe Bay, Hawai’i’s only barrier-reef protected inlet, the sandbar is a thalassophile’s delight. Green sea turtles, rays, and reef fish are just some of the wide variety of marine wildlife that visitors can expect to see at the sandbar during a relaxing day out on the warm ocean waters.

Once Captain Bruce’s private boat arrives on the Kaneʻohe Bay Sandbar, you will enjoy everything from swimming with Hawai’i’s honu (green sea turtles) and discovering a thriving barrier reef to stand-up paddle boarding the tranquil bay waters and basking in the sun on the white-sand sandbar—available only at low tide.
